Don't Read To Learn, Read To Unlearn
A counterintuitive approach to reading that will change your life

Okay. So, this is the conventional wisdom that we should read books to learn. To learn new things, new ideas, and new advice which would help us improve our life. Right?
So, Let’s break this rule and learn a new way to read books.
Read books to Unlearn
When you were a kid you have been fed many lies by your parents, teacher, or friends. Some of them can be:- Money is evil, You only succeed in life by studying well, and Sex is just like what you see in a porno.
But in reality, all of these are lies. And there might be so many lies that you still believe in. That’s why seek out books that contradict your beliefs.
If you do that. One of the two things will happen:
Either your belief will become stronger or
You will realise that you have been wrong all along
And the thing that you need to keep in mind while reading books that have contradicting opinions is to have the humility to accept the fact that you might be wrong.
If you don’t have that mindset. Then, Don’t bother reading books that contradict your beliefs.
The idea is to unlearn all the bullshit ideas or beliefs that don’t make sense or work for you. If you do that, you’ll only be left with the ideas and beliefs that support your growth.
P.S: I'm writing my first book that will be available exclusively for you guys here and it's on this same topic and is titled: "Read To Unlearn: A Counterintuitive Approach To Reading"
