I was hated for an Instagram Post

And here's what I learned

I recently posted a post regarding the importance of Taking Action and stated the facts that

Taking Action >>>>>>> Reading

And this triggered a lot of people. They call me bullshit, nonsense and what not but I'm grateful that this happened. It taught me a few really important lesson which I will be sharing with you.

1. People Are Weird

If you have read The Rudest Book Ever. You know about this lesson. And for those, who haven't. Let me share it with you. People are not good or bad. People are weird. That's why it's impossible to understand their thought process. It's impossible to know what goes in their head. So, Stop assuming that people are bad or good. They are just complex beings who can be summarized in one word as WEIRD.

2. Confirmation Bias

If you confirm peoples biases with your content and tell them that their beliefs are true then they will praise you. But if you give them a different take. If you don't pertain to their confirmation bias then they will hate you. People lack the skill of reasoning and thus have a herd mentality and focus only on the content that states that their believes are true and hates on the content that doesn't.

3. Polarize

Most people create generic content and don't polarize their audience. They don't want to be on the bad side of their audience. They don't choose a side and stick to it. That's why they lack a loyal following. The best kind of audience is made through Polarization. If you don't take a side strongly and always stay in the middle ground, then you will not be able to create a division of people who absolutely love your content and people who absolutely hate your content.

Although I wanted to correct people in the comments section. I wanted to tell them that they were wrong. I didn't. I just let it be. You know why? Nobody hates to know that they are wrong. People who have the humility to accept the fact that they might be wrong are the people who are the right audience for me.
